Allergan is pleased to inform you that the tax on cosmetic medical procedures — the so-called ‘Botax’ — has been removed from the Senate health reform legislation. This tax, which had been inserted at the very last minute, was bad public policy and had no place in healthcare reform. Members of the Senate heard from tens of thousands of people around the country who objected to the tax. Americans objected to the impact this tax would have on the middle class and, in particular, on women across the nation. Without your assistance in making your voice heard, this tax would not have been removed. Thank you for your support.
