We always start with a consultation to assess your lips and determine which product is best for you based on your desired outcome. Once the product has been selected, the injection process will begin. A pharmaceutical-grade numbing cream can be applied to the lips to minimize discomfort during treatment. After the numbing cream has kicked in, the chosen filler will be injected into the lip in small amounts, carefully sculpting your pout to achieve the desired shape and volume. The lip filler process takes about 45 minutes, including numbing time. Afterward, you’ll be able to return home and resume your normal routine with little downtime!
After your appointment, you may experience some mild swelling and bruising at the injection sites. Swelling will reduce over the next few days, but may take up to two weeks to completely subside. You can apply cold compresses for 15 minutes every hour for the first 24 hours to reduce these side effects. While the filler is settling, do not drink from a straw or massage the treated area for at two weeks after your procedure — this may increase the risk of infection or cause the filler to migrate, leading to uneven results.
Lip filler results last from six to eighteen months depending on the type of filler selected and how your body metabolizes the product.
