Benefits of IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)
So, the years of sun exposure have decided to leave its mark on my décolletage, shoulders, arms, neck and face. VITAHL Medical Aesthetics had the solution I needed.
I quickly learned all about IPL, Intense Pulse Light, a non-surgical, non-invasive skin rejuvenation used to treat:
- Sun damage
- Brown spots
- Age spots
- Certain types of lines and wrinkles
- Dilated blood vessels
- Facial redness caused by broken capillaries
- Rosacea
After a consult with Michelina, (insert credentials), I was left to relax while a numbing cream applied to my affected areas set. Goggled, Michelina and I were ready to erase those pesky marks. After about 30 minutes of a guided laser strategically trolling my damaged skin, I was left with some mild redness that subsided within a day.
For the next couple of weeks, I saw the brown spots turn darker, which I was told to expect. As promised by VITAHL, my skin continued to heal itself for the next couple of weeks. After that period, the dark pigment sloughed off and the original spots either disappeared or were significantly lighter.
Boy, was I impressed with IPL. I returned for a second treatment and saw the remaining spots fade away. My summer skin is ready for those off the shoulder tops, but not without a heavy- duty sunscreen.
